Jisha V. Dymond,  Associate in the firm’s New York City office, is a member of the Corporate Political Activity Law and Appellate Law Practice Groups. 

Ms. Dymond represents for-profit and non-profit corporations, trade associations and PACs on the legal aspects of their political activities, including federal and state campaign finance, pay-to-play, and federal and state lobbying laws.  She also advises candidates and elected officials on state and federal campaign finance law and ethics obligations. Ms. Dymond’s experience includes litigation and appearing before administrative agencies such as the New York City Campaign Finance Board, New York State Board of Elections, and the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission.


Ms. Dymond and Partner Laurence D. Laufer led the way in defining the jurisprudence related to protection of treasurer personal liability under the NYC Campaign Finance Act by litigating and winning several cases before the NY Appellate Division.  These cases include: Eisland v. New York City Campaign Finance Board, 31 A.D.3d 259 (1st Dep’t 2006); New York City Campaign Finance Board v. Ortiz, 38 A.D. 3d 75, 83 (1st Dept. 2006) and Mossa v. New York City Campaign Finance Board, 41 A.D.3d 178 (1st Dep’t 2007).


Ms. Dymond is the Secretary of the Election Law Committee at the New York County Lawyer's Association and former Secretary of the Special Committee on Election Law at the New York City Bar Association.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.


Ms. Dymond earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Depaul University in 2000.  She received her J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School in 2003 where she was the Executive Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights. Ms. Dymond was inducted into the Order of the Barrister.  She also served as President of the South Asian Law Students Association from 2001-2002. 


Ms. Dymond has written extensively on the subject of political activity law.
