Kenneth B. Goodman, Associate in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office, is a member of the Employment Law & Litigation Practice Group.
Mr. Goodman served the public as Deputy Attorney General in the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Law, in the Corrections & State Police Section, where he defended the New Jersey Division of State Police and individual State Troopers in civil rights litigation. He is experienced in claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the New Jersey Civil Rights Act, the New Jersey Law against Discrimination, the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, and tort claims brought under the New Jersey Tort Claims Act.
He has served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1988 to 1996, attaining the rank of Captain.
Mr. Goodman was a law clerk to The Honorable Edward R. Schwartz, J.S.C., Essex County, Law Division, Civil Part.
He earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2002, and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 1985.
